This ad is appealing to a mothers (and possibly fathers) fear through the use of Pathos. The scene depicted in this Hillary Clinton ad focuses on the security of children based upon who the President of the United States is. Essentially, the ad is warning the public that if the wrong person is elected to office, anyone's children may be in danger or should be fearful that America is in the hands of an incompetent individual, unless that individual happens to be Hillary Clinton. The darkness of night and the phone ringing in the silence creates an essence of the unknown and insecurity as to who will pick up the phone and answer America's call.

First time in a long time

I guess I've made a pattern of blogging once every year...
School has started. Things are yet to really pick up. I'm sure they will within the next week. I'm really enjoying myself though. Classes are great this semester. My music is moving forward. And tonight has been nice. Class was...rather uneventful but not bad. Second class was canceled and I ended up talking to an old friend :)
Got home, relaxed, been researching for a PR assignment that I'll be discussing on Thursday. No idea what to expect, so I'm somewhat nervous. Watched Iron Man! Good movie haha and now relaxing til bed. Not a bad day!

Long TIme...No Blog...

I find myself here for the first time in a long time. I can't believe I've been on break for a month already. Only two weeks left until school starts again. That's alright though. I'm looking forward to starting up again. So, since I've been on break I've found myself in a variety of places. I went up to Santa Cruz for a few days to help my uncle work on a house he's fixing up in Aptos. I really learned a lot about painting and doing a job well. I hadn't seen my Uncle or my cousin in a while so it was really good to be able to see them. I loved spending time with them at their house. We basically played Assassin's Creed 2 all night or we would switch it up a little bit by watching a movie hahaha. Other than that, I haven't done a whole lot. I went mini golfing last night with my younglife group which was a blast. I didn't do too well but it didn't bother me because of all the laughs we had. Overall, it was an amazing night. :)

November 30th in class

Today we were introduced to Katherine, a peer mentor who will be helping us finish out the semester. We went over MLA formatting and how to put our essays together. I found the information helpful, but I had already heard it all before. It's never bad to have a refresher though. Anyway, after that we learned how to embed the audio interview into our blogs. That pretty much sums up class for today.
