Your Guide To College Success-Chpt 10 (Your Journal)

The "Your Journal" section of chapter 10 gave me an incite into my diet as well as how I cope with certain issues such as stress. Nutritionally I am doing well, but I have a few issues when it comes to coping with stress. I have chosen to channel my stress through my music and writing. These will be my positive replacements.

Tips and Tricks

-Week 14: Be the one to stand up for what you believe in, because maybe, just maybe, a miracle will happen.
-Week 13: It's never too early to start looking for career opportunities in your designated major of choice.
-Week 12:Don't be afraid to get things done early. The earlier you finish, the more time you have to go back and edit it.
-Week 11: When offered a opportunity, don't be afraid to take a risk. Try something that scares you.
-Week 10: Don't let stress get the best of you. View stress as a challenge.
-Week 9: Use specific test strategies to prepare for midterms/tests.
-Week 8: Have a fallback plan no matter how secure you think you are in a certain subject/career.
-Week 7: Don't be afraid to ask questions in class because of what others may think. Be true to yourself.
-Week 6: Don't be afraid to ask a question because of how you think your peers will react.
-Week 5: Use the writing center or peer-mentor center to help you accomplish tasks.
-Week 4: Be aware of how you present yourself non-verbally.
-Week 3: Learn the physical and digital layout of the Library. The Library is your friend.
-Week 2: Know your teachers' pet peeves.
-Week 1: Always study before having fun because chances are that if you wait too long you'll end up stressed out.
